In short: Rhynote does not collect, transmit or sell any data. The app does not even have Internet access.

Rhynote is a lyrics and poetry notebook for Android that works entirely offline.

Data collected

None. Rhynote does not request Internet access and contains no ads, no analytics and no user account. No information leaves your phone on the app's initiative.

Data stored on your device

Your texts, categories, custom pronunciations, versions, audio files (voice memos, imported beats, demo recordings and edits) and beat links are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. They are deleted when you uninstall the app.

If Google backup is enabled on your phone, Android may copy this data to your Google account. This is a system feature that you control in Android settings. Backups created from Rhynote's "Sauvegarde" (Backup) screen are files that you save yourself wherever you choose.

Permissions

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): requested only when you record a voice memo or a demo take. The recording stays on your device.
• In-app purchases (BILLING): allows the one-time purchase of Rhynote Studio through Google Play.

Exported demos

A demo exported as an audio file only leaves your phone if you decide so: “Save as…” writes it where you choose, “Share” hands it to the app you choose. Rhynote never sends anything by itself.

Payment is handled entirely by Google Play under its own privacy policy. Rhynote receives no payment data: the app only asks Google Play whether the purchase was made.

YouTube links

You can attach the link of a beat published on YouTube to a text. Rhynote only stores this link on your device and opens it in the YouTube app or your browser when you ask. Rhynote does not download the video and does not communicate with YouTube. What YouTube does during playback is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Children

Rhynote collects no data from anyone, including minors.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its update date.
